Moving All Races to Higher Achievement (M.A.R.T.H.A.), Incorporated is the non-profit foundation of the Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. This 501(c)(3) non-profit was organized exclusively for charitable purposes to support educational and community programs and the initiatives of the Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter, Chatham County, and Savannah, Georgia.  This includes its educational initiatives for at-risk children and their parents, the mentoring of middle school girls (Precious Gems Mentoring Program), and health, economics, and arts initiatives. M.A.R.T.H.A.'s mission is to provide support and charitable contributions to programs and services that assist in the growth and development of communities within the Savannah-Chatham County area.

The M.A.R.T.H.A., Incorporated Foundation Supports Savannah State University 

Gamma Sigma Omega (GSO) Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) and its non-profit arm, Moving All Races to Higher Achievement (M.A.R.T.H.A.) Incorporated presented a check for $12,100.00 to Kimberly Ballard-Washington, Esq., Interim President of Savannah State University (SSU).  On August 27, 2020, Denise M. Cooper, Esq, GSO President, Charlene E. Jones, GSO Vice President, and Patricia Clark, GSO member presented a check to advance GSO’s lifelong commitment to SSU through an endowment initiated in 2018
